Your story stays yours.
To make your track, we ask about your goals, your struggles and your wins. That's personal, and we treat it that way. This page explains what we collect, why, who helps us, and how to see, fix or delete it.
Last updated: November 3, 2026
The short version
- We use your answers to make your track. That's it. We never sell your information.
- Your track is written, made and delivered automatically. Nobody on our team reads your answers or listens to your track unless something breaks or you write to us for help.
- AI services we pay for help write the words and make the audio. They get only what's needed to make your track.
- We only send marketing email if you tick the box. Every one has an unsubscribe link.
- You can ask to see, fix or delete your information any time: hello@beliefbeats.com.
Who we are
Belief Beats (Belief Beats by LifeDeck) is run by 1319184-2 Canada Inc., Ontario, Canada. We decide how your information is used, so we're responsible for it (under European and UK law, the “controller”). Questions or requests about privacy go to hello@beliefbeats.com.
What we collect
When you order a track:
- Your email address, so we can send your private track link.
- Your answers: names and how to say them, goals, the obstacles in your way, past wins, a motto, a big moment and its date. For a gift or a team, you're telling us about someone else (see below).
- Your choices: the kind of track, the music style, the voice, Rush delivery, and any promo code.
- What we make from that: the title, the words, the audio versions, the fixes you ask for, and your reason if you cancel.
- Payment records from Stripe: the amount, currency, whether the card hold was charged or released, and the payment reference. Not your card number.
- Whether you ticked “Email me new track types, drops and offers”, and when.
- If you came through someone's public share link: which track's link it was. We use it only to count word of mouth. Nobody is rewarded for it.
Some answers can be sensitive, like a habit or craving you're working on. Only share what you're happy to hear in your track. A few words per answer is plenty.
Gifts: the giver's name and email, the recipient's first name, the gift message and any details the giver fills in. When the recipient opens the gift, we collect their email and their own answers, the same as any order. We only ever email the giver about a gift, never the recipient (the recipient gets emails about their own track once they make it).
Team tracks: the team name, season goals and chant, and, if you add a roster, each player's first name and how to say it.
Waitlists: your email, which list you joined, and when.
Coach and partner program: your name, email, business or website, what you do, your main social account and rough following, and your country. Stripe collects the identity and bank details it needs to pay you; we only keep your Stripe account reference and whether payouts are set up.
When you browse:
- Your country, worked out from your IP address, so prices show in your currency. We don't store your IP address; our host keeps standard server logs for a short time.
- Vercel Web Analytics: pages viewed, the site you came from, your country and device type. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you.
- The Meta pixel: page visits, starting checkout and purchases, so we can tell if our ads work. Meta may link this to your Facebook or Instagram account under its own privacy policy.
- Your order form, saved in your own browser while you fill it in, so you don't lose your answers. It stays on your device.
When you email us: your message and anything you send with it.
Why we use it
- To make and deliver your track, handle fixes, and run your private page. We need this to do what you asked (for EU and UK law: to perform our contract with you).
- To take payment, place and release card holds, give refunds, pay coach commissions and keep tax records. Partly contract, partly the law.
- To email you about your order: your track is ready, it's approved, a gift was opened. These aren't marketing, so they come even if you don't tick the marketing box.
- To ask for an honest review after you approve a track. Our legitimate interest in hearing how we did. You can ignore it.
- To send news and offers, only if you opted in. Your consent.
- To understand and improve the site and measure our ads. Our legitimate interest, or your consent where the law requires it.
- To keep things safe: stop fraud and abuse, and fix things when they break.
We also check each new track's words against recent tracks, on our own systems, so no two tracks share the same lines. We don't use your answers or your track in our marketing. If we'd love to share your video or your track, we'll ask you first.
How AI is used
Your answers go to Anthropic's Claude, which writes the words. The words, including your name, go to the music and voice services (Kie.ai with Suno's models, and ElevenLabs), which make the audio. We use their paid business services and send only what's needed to make your track. Your email address and payment details are never sent to them. AI doesn't make any decision about you that has legal or similarly significant effects.
Who helps us
We use these services to run Belief Beats. Each one may only use your information to do its job for us, or as its own privacy policy says where it acts for itself (Meta and Stripe in some cases).
Tracks are made on our own studio computer in Ontario, Canada, which also keeps copies of the audio. We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people from harm, or as part of selling or merging the business (the buyer would have to keep this promise).
Information outside Canada
Most of the services above are in the United States, so your information is stored and handled there, and in other countries where they work. While it's there, the courts, police and governments of those countries may be able to get at it under their laws. For people in the EU and UK, we rely on our providers' data protection terms, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect information sent outside Canada. Canada is recognised by the EU as protecting personal information adequately.
How long we keep it
- Your order, answers and track: for as long as your private link and download are meant to keep working, until you ask us to delete them. Then we delete your answers, the words and the audio, and your private and share links stop working.
- Payment and tax records: as long as tax law requires, generally six years in Canada. Stripe keeps its own records under its policy.
- Marketing consent: until you unsubscribe. We keep a record of when you opted in and out, to prove we followed the rules.
- Waitlist emails: until we've told you about the launch and you no longer want news, or you ask us to remove you.
- Coach partner details: while you're in the program, then as long as tax law requires for commissions paid.
- Emails to us: as long as we need them to help you.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we have about you, and give you a copy.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your information, unless the law makes us keep it (like tax records).
- Stop marketing emails, or withdraw any other consent you gave. This doesn't undo what we did before.
In the EU and UK you can also ask us to limit or object to how we use your information, and to send your information to you or someone else in a common format.
To ask, email hello@beliefbeats.com from the address you ordered with, and include your track title or private link if you can. We may ask you to confirm who you are. We'll answer within 30 days. It's free.
If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca), or to your local regulator: the ICO in the UK, your country's data protection authority in the EU, or the OAIC in Australia. We'd like the chance to fix it first.
Children
Belief Beats isn't for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. To order, you need to be an adult, or have a parent or guardian's permission. If you think a child under 13 has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Parents, coaches and gift-givers may put a child's first name in a team or gift track. When you add a team roster, you confirm you're the coach or team manager and that the players, or their parents, are OK with their first names being in the track. Please only give first names and how to say them, never other details about a child. A parent who wants a child's name taken out can email us. We'll delete it from our records and work with the coach to change the track.
Cookies and similar tools
- bb_cur: remembers a currency you picked yourself. 30 days.
- bb_ref: set when you open someone's public share link, so we can count word of mouth. 30 days.
- Meta pixel cookies (such as _fbp): ad measurement, set by Meta. Up to about 90 days. In the UK, the EU and Switzerland they're only set if you say OK in the cookie banner.
- Your browser's storage: keeps your order form answers on your device until you check out or clear it, and your answer to the cookie banner.
Vercel Web Analytics doesn't use cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad tracking in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings. The site still works without them.
Marketing email
We follow Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) and the rules where you live. The “Email me new track types, drops and offers” box at checkout starts unticked. We only send news and offers if you tick it or join a waitlist. Every marketing email says who it's from and has an unsubscribe link, and we act on it within 10 business days. Emails about your own order, like your track link, aren't marketing and still come.
Keeping it safe
Orders and audio are stored privately, and our admin tools are password protected. Your track page lives at a long, random private link: anyone who has it can open your track, so only share it with people you trust. When you tap Share on an approved track, you get a separate public link that plays the track and shows its title, and nothing else: no answers, no words, no email. Want a share link turned off? Email us. No system is perfectly secure, but if something goes wrong that puts you at risk, we'll tell you and the regulators, as the law requires.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If it's a big change, we'll email customers with an open track too. See also our Terms of Service and Refund Policy.
